We want to set new standards in patient care with our dismountable arthroscopy instruments.

 

THE PROBLEM

With all tubular shaft systems, tissue residue accumulates inside the mechanism, which is difficult or impossible to remove residue-free. This poses a risk of infection for the patient.

 

THE SOLUTION

We have combined our arthroscopy instruments with our innovative EMove technology. This allows the instruments to be disassembled at the push of a button and then be cleaned thoroughly.

We are very excited to announce the expansion of our product range: We are now offering high-quality Bowman and Williams lacrimal probes! 

 Lacrimal probes are essential for surgeons and ophthalmologists who deal with diseases of the tear ducts. Our probes are precisely manufactured and meet high quality standards in order to perform the best possible procedure on the patient.

OUR DIGITAL WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT

Digital warehouse management offers numerous advantages over manual warehouse management.

 

For example, it is virtually impossible to confuse storage locations, as each item is assigned a unique storage location and this is recorded digitally. This increases efficiency and minimises the margin for error.

 

In addition, digital warehouse management facilitates batch-pure selection, as the items are recorded with their respective batch number, thus making targeted selection possible.

Another advantage is that any employee can pick items from the warehouse. When the order card is scanned, the system shows the employee the parts list with the respective storage location. Since there is a QR code on each storage box, which the employee scans when picking the goods, the stock level is automatically adjusted in SAP. Should the employee accidentally select the wrong storage location and scan the wrong QR code, this would be indicated in the system.

An image of each item is stored for more clarity. This allows the employee to see at a glance which product it is and avoid picking errors.

 

Through the connection to SAP Business One, an automatic article availability check is performed, which enables timely and accurate inventory control.

 

To summarise, digital warehouse management offers our company numerous advantages. Through the reduction of errors, increased efficiency and fast inventory checking, warehouse management is improved and processes are optimised.

Amazing how time flies!

 

On February 1st 2022, we celebrated our 25th company anniversary.

 

​The employees surprised Günter and Levin Efinger with a party. There was a fantastic homemade buffet and a wonderful cake.

Our cleaning system ran a number of tests. These include the cytotoxicity test, analysis for TOC (toxic organic carbon) and THC (total hydrocarbons), and other laboratory tests. Process capability studies have also been carried out, ensuring consistent results.

​

We are now qualified to clean your products in a validated process so that no toxic effect is caused afterwards by the material, residues of cleaning products or contamination of the surface. If requested, we can label and finish packaging your instruments.

OUR DIGITALIZED PRODUCTION

With our new, in-house developed production data acquisition system we are now able to realize an optimal manufacturing process of the highest quality level.

 

Our qualified staff members simply hold the RFID card, which belongs to a production order, onto a terminal. All information about the specific instrument and which manufacturing step is going to be next, are directly being displayed.

 

This data can be retrieved at any time from all terminals in our production. By linking our ERP system SAP with it, our sales team is able to perform a real-time request and review in which manufacturing step your order currently is.

On Friday, February 1st, our company had its 22nd anniversary - this date also marks Günter Efinger's 22nd anniversary of self-employment. Therefore his son Levin and the entire team surprised him with an award and a present to celebrate this occasion.

​

But it was not only Günters special day - on that day 15 years ago our highly appreciated and very experienced employee Eduard had joined the Efinger-Instruments team. To celebrate, Günter and Levin Efinger surprised him with a big gift hamper and an award to honor his loyality and dedication to the company.

VISIT OF AS MEDIZINTECHNIK & SPECIALIST COURSE OF THE MARIENHOSPITAL STUTTGART

Mr. Schilling, the general manager of our long-time and highly appreciated customer AS Medizintechnik GmbH from Tuttlingen, as well as 20 participants of the specialist course of the Marien hospital Stuttgart came to visit our company.

​

The technical sterilization assistants-to-be from various clinics in Stuttgart were able to have a look behind the scenes and get to know, guided by Günter Efinger, the manufacturing process of our company.

OUR NEW APPRENTICES

We are very happy that our team has been commpleted by our three new, highly-motivated apprentices!

 

Sascha, Alexej and Ahmad do an apprenticeship as surgical mechanics. In their first year as an apprentice they are attending a vocational school four times a week, in which they learn the theoretical and practical base of their profession. Once a week they work in our company in order to slowly get to know the daily working life of a surgical mechanic. In their second and third year as an apprentice they will spend an increasing part of their week at Efinger-Instruments in order to be prepared in the best way possible for the working environment.

Altogether our team consists of six apprentices that learn the profession of a surgical mechanic or industrial management assistent.

​

We are very much looking forward to the upcoming years with our apprentices!

OUR NEW COMPANY BUILDING

13.07.2018

​

On Friday, July 13th 2018 Günter and Levin Efinger invited all external craftsmen, that were involved in the construction of the new building, and all employees with their partners to celebrate the completion of the new, 1000 m² large building.

 

The carpentry Markus Haller, which was responsible for the construction of it, opened the celebration with a traditional speech on top of the roof. Günter and Levin Efinger later on gave a look back on the past months of building and thanked all persons involved for the successful cooperation.

After enjoying a diverse and delicious buffet, the guests were able to capture the moment with their friends and co-workers by using our photo booth.

 

Once again, we would like to thank everybody for the joyful festivities! We are looking forward to the upcoming years in our new, additional building!
