Our company history

In 1997 Günter Efinger founded the company Efinger-Instruments in Tuttlingen, Germany. Within a period of 25 years, the company, that specializes in producing delicate, surgical instruments, has grown to more than 25 employees.

 

Meanwhile, the company has changed the type of enterprise into Efinger-Instruments GmbH & Co. KG. Today Günter Efinger is running the company together with his son Levin Efinger.

The beginning. 1997

In 1997 Günter Efinger founded the company Efinger-Instruments in Tuttlingen, Germany. At the beginning, the business activities focused on the manufacturing of micro-surgical instruments for the ENT area. 

One year later Günter Efinger invested in the first CNC milling machine. His son Levin Efinger was there from the beginning.

2000 - 2005

Due to the constantly increasing orders, the team grew to a number of employees. Therefore, new branches opened up to the company, such as sinus- and arthroscopy.

Efinger-Instruments celebrates its 10th anniversary together with Günter Efinger's daughter Orthja and son Levin.

2010

The constant demand for our instruments from Germany and abroad required a new building for the company in Max-Planck Street 36 in Spaichingen, Germany.

2017

The company Efinger-Instruments celebrates its 20th anniversary.

2018

In order to increase the capacity and meet our customers' future needs, we planned and realized an extension of Efinger-Instruments. In this way, the existing building has been expanded by an additional 1000 square meters.

In January 2018 Levin Efinger took up his new position as General Manager, now leading the company together with his father Günter.

2022

On February the 1st, 2022, we celebrated our 25th anniversary. The employees surprised Günter and Levin Efinger with a party. There was a fantastic homemade buffet and a wonderful cake.
